Traditional Full Sternotomy

Endoscopic Cardiac Surgery in Women

Endoscopic Cardiac Surgery in Men

A median sternotomy is the 15 to 25 cm length traditional approach for most of the open heart procedures including coronary artery revascularization and valve surgery. This includes the chest bone section. It takes 4 to 6 weeks for the bone to heal.

A less than 2 cm lateral working port is all I need to perform most of the valve procedures including repair and replacement. This pictures shows a patient 3 months after an endoscopic double valve repair.

A periareolar working port allows to perform most of the valve surgery including single or multiple valve repair and  many other open heart surgical procedures. This picture shows a periareolar working port 4 weeks after surgery

A Thoracoscopic Cardiac operation is a "closed chest" procedure where no cuts are needed. Just few 5 to 10 mm small incisions allow endoscopic instruments and an high-definition camera to enter the chest.  Follow the link below to learn more.

Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery is a less invasive way to perform Cardiac Surgery. It's a  wide area including T-ECS, TCS and mini-sternotomy or mini-thoracotomy surgery.

Transcatheter therapies represent .the less invasive way to fix the heart. Through a small catheter structural heart issue can be addressed in selected Patients.  Click the button to learn more about operations, techniques and perspectives.
